Last week we had Kylee's Parent Teacher Conference at her school. These conferences were a little bit different than the others where you go and meet with each teacher. These are "Student Led" so we just go to her TA class, she pulls out a file from all of her classes and we go over them together. We notice that in her dance class she has a B+. "How do you get a B+ in dance?" we ask. Chet begins to tease her about not being able to "get her groove on." So he starts asking her if he needs to get up and show her how to get her groove on right then and there. Keep in mind her teacher is in the room as well as other sets of parents with their kids. Chet then stands up and begins to "ride the pony." Kylee was MORTIFIED to say the least. Her face turned a bright shade of red...I have NEVER seen anybody's face go that red before, I didn't even know it was possible! She is just pleading, "Please, Don't dad...please stop!" HAHA
Then down the hall he begins to show her the "lawnmower" and how to "pick up change". She is ready to shoot herself at this point.
So, the following morning as she goes to class her teacher approaches her and said, "It looked like your dad was having a good time at PTC last night." Kylee just said, "Why?" and her teacher said, "Well, he was over there dancing away." and just laughed and walked away. Kylee said she just sat there thinking of ways she could kill him! haha
Kylee...you have my deepest sympathy.
I also love to dance, especially in my kitchen, and it seems that it has rubbed off. Cash is just too cute...he loves music and no matter where it is coming from he will start to dance. (I know most babies do, and I LOVE it...so cute!)
Here's a cute little clip of him.
Can I just say that it is SO nice to finally have a camera with a video feature again! Thanks to my awesome hubby. :)
I have LOVED my camera, almost as much as I love my kids, but there are some features, or lack of, that have really frustrated me. So, my thoughtful hubby decided to surprise me and on Friday UPS showed up at my doorstep with a box. In that box was a Nikon D90!!! What a guy, he certainly knows the way to my heart! Now, I am just trying to decide what to do with my old one. Keep it or sell it, keep it or sell it. Right now I think it would be really nice to have a back up camera as well as having it for when I am shooting sports and other situations where I can keep my telephoto on the one I use most and a standard lens on the other, so I am not missing shots trying to switch out lenses. It was kind of a pain last football season b/c if I wanted to take a shot of something fairly close to me I had to back up 70 feet just to get it in the frame! (or so it seemed). So, we shall see... there is no rush I guess.
Here are just some random pics from this last weekend that I love and thought I would share...
I love watching Cash discover all the things around him. This particular time it was the cat outside the door. (and maybe some birds)How beautiful is this sunset! (no editing done)
