Kylee had her tumbling recital Monday evening. The same day she was supposed to go to Oakcrest. I was stressed not knowing what to do since her position in Cheer was hard to replace, I had already paid for both Oakcrest and her tumbling/cheer costumes...so, what to do?
Well, I decided to just take her up on my own on Tuesday morning. We got up at 5:00am to get out the door by 5:45 and arrived at Oakcrest in the Kamas valley by 7:00am.
On the drive back I decided to stop and visit my niece, Cami, in Heber. We had a nice visit and the kids had fun playing. When it was time to go we headed back through Provo Canyon...a way I had never gone before. It is such a beautiful canyon, I think it took a little bit longer to get home but it was a nice, scenic drive.
Every now and then my van would hit the grooves in the middle and side of the highway making a loud vibrating sound. As I hit the first one, Hunter says,
"Mom, what was that?"
Me: "The car stinkered."
A little while later, I hit another one.
Hunter: "Mom, the car stinkered again!"
Me: "I know, it must be full of GAS!"
It took him a couple of minutes to get the joke but then his eyes widened and he laughed and laughed and didn't stop for about 20 minutes. Even after that every now and then I would hear a little giggle and a quiet, "full of gas!"
Haha....I'm glad HE thinks I'm funny...Kudos to me for being quick witted for ONCE in my life!~ :)
I was going to post videos of Kylee's tumbling/cheer routines but after an hour of only one video STILL not finished uploading I decided against it. She is doing so well...she has her standing back handspring, tuck (which is really hard because you have no momentum getting yourself in the air like a running roundoff, back handspring, tuck. She also got her double standing tuck which she performed on her own, without a spot, for the first time that night...I failed to get that on video though b/c she did it at the very end when each class came back on in the finale and I had no idea she was going to try it! :( Now she is working on her layouts, twists and front tucks. GO KYLEE! I am a proud mama bear!!!

Three of my Favorite Things
I am the kind of girl who likes being "comfortable." Meaning, I don't stray to far from things I like and seem to work well for me. Like when I go to a restaurant I usually order the same thing EVERY time because I know I will like it and walk out satisfied. Sometimes I feel adventurous and try something new on the menu and end up being disappointed...So, I usually tend to just stick with what I know I like best with everything I buy.
However, I have tried a few things that have become three of my "new" favorite things!
A week before our cruise I had some lash extensions put on. I was so excited to finally have some long, beautiful lashes and I really didn't research them like I usually do when trying something that is "semi-permanent". I really wished I would have. As much as I loved the way they looked, they started to irritate my eyes and I noticed as they started to fall out how damaged and REALLY, SUPER SHORT my own lashes were. Much shorter than before I had the extensions put on...and even shorter than my lower lashes were!!! I was so sick to my stomach about it and immediately on the search for something to help repair the damage. Latisse was out of the question b/c I really didn't want to pay $100 for it so I decided to try something else....Loreal's Lash Serum. I had seen this product on TV and read reviews and let me tell you...after only two weeks of putting this serum on once in the morning and once at night, my lashes are healthier, longer and even a bit thicker. IT WORKS and I couldn't be happier!!! My lashes are almost back for only the cost of $12!
Now, when paired up with the next product my lashes are AMAZING!!!
I have always been a Maybeline, pink and green mascara kind of girl. It's cheap and it works great! Unfortunately, it has been replaced...my heart now belongs to someone new...
Another product from Loreal, The Double Extend mascara. This product is FABULOUS!!! You put the first coat on which applies "tubes" over your lashes extending them and then step 2 you apply the mascara. One word..."LENGTH!" Another thing about this product that I love so much...NO SMEARS, NO SMUDGES when it comes to clean up or when it gets wet. You simply use warm water and gently rub your eyes and the tubes come right off. It almost looks like your lashes are coming off in your hands and in the sink but it is just the tubes. NO raccoon eyes, NO soap, NO mascara remover, just simply warm water...how can you pass that up?! Now, is it worth twice the cost as Maybeline's Great Lash mascara?...YES!!!
Now, when it comes to sugar I am more daring when trying new things. I am a huge fan of Almond Joys...probably my favorite candy involving chocolate. (not a huge chocolate lover) but I LOVE coconut and the combination of chocolate and nuts just makes my taste buds sing. Now make them smaller and coat them with a candy shell and you have....

Another First
Wow...I can't believe I'm blogging again so quickly. :)
Cash has been growing up so quickly these past couple of months and I really wanted to update and record all of the cute things that he is doing and saying. Not to mention the fact that we had another "first" that I am really not too happy about....and neither was he for that matter!
His hair was getting quite long and curly. I have fallen in love with those curls and could not bring myself to cut them off. Talon had the curliest hair and when we cut them off, they never came back again....that is my fear with Cash. I just love those beautiful, curly locks.
Chet has been hounding me to do it and many others have been voicing their opinions on the matter, so...I got tired of it and much to my dismay, cut off his long, curly hair. I cried the whole time and even a little bit after the fact...I know, a little dramatic perhaps. But again I stress, I really did LOVE those curls! I was very angry and in a pretty bad mood after...it seriously was a "don't talk to me AT ALL!" type of mood. Poor Chet asked me why I cut it and I bit his head off...haha. But, now that I've had a day to calm down...as much as I hate to admit it...Cash really does look pretty darn cute with his new haircut

It almost makes him look younger, more like a "baby" again instead of a "toddler."
Some of the cute things he is saying/doing now...(along with the usual "ma ma/da da"
No...no...and more NO!
eyes (points to them as he says it)
Nose
Nite nite
bye, bye
all done (lifts hands in the air then brings them down)
that, there (sounds like "dat", "dare")
Num Num (any type of food or drink)
Hi (says this every time someone walks through the door or in a room...so cute!)
Ow
Uh oh
tickle, tickle
kitty
cucka
did his first summersault tonight...(I don't think he knew exactly what he did or meant to do it but he sure kept trying to do it again and again after!)
and...."NO!"
His favorite song is "Popcorn popping". He tries to sing along and does the actions.
Here are just some fun pics of my little 15 month old boy BEFORE the hair cut :)
