10 Months...Really?

I know I keep saying this with every monthly post, but where on earth did this last year go?!

My baby is already ten months! What's worse is I know how fast these next two months will fly by and I just don't want him to be one yet. I am enjoying my baby and I want him to stay that way!

He is just the cutest little bum...mimicking everything you say. Waves bye-bye, blows kisses and is such a show off. He loves to dance to music now and especially loves "Wizards of Winter" by TSO. (good taste!)

He is finally crawling and is loving all the lights and decorations of Christmas. He also loves CHOCOLATE and COKE! First with the fudge, then hot chocolate at grandma's and Dad can't help but sneak him a straw full of Coke...no wonder he's not skinny! He now weighs 18 lbs 11 oz so he is doing pretty well. (for one of my kids) I love how rosy his cheeks are in this picture. Every time he wakes up, his cheeks are so rosy like this. I love it! He is just the sweetest baby...he will get stubborn and can throw a good tantrum but he is so sweet and content for the most part. Now, if only he would grow some hair!

Humble Birthday Wishes...

Hunter was chosen to say the prayer in Primary today. It was one of the sweetest prayers I have ever heard and I am reminded of how much I love the innocence of little children.

He blessed and prayed for the usual and then we heard this,

"Please bless when it's Christmas that Jesus will have a nice Birthday."

It made tears come to my eyes...SO sweet!

What a wonderful time of year it is. How grateful I am for my Savior, His birth, His life and His example. How grateful I am for my sweet, wonderful kids too. I am SO blessed!!!

A First Time for Everything!

One of the funnest things about having a baby is witnessing all of their "firsts"...

I gave him one lick of the spoon and he grabbed on for dear life, shoved it in his mouth and it didn't come out for a very LONG time!

He also had his first sucker the other day...am I a bad mom for giving him treats so early?

But seriously...how can I resist giving in to that cute, happy little face?

Sweet as Candy!

Makayla had her Christmas dance recital a few days ago. The company she attends put on a version of The Nutcracker and cute little Makayla's group were "bon bons".

I thought that was only fitting for her since she is just as sweet as candy...and she looked darling too!
Dad surprised her with roses after her performance.

That's a LOT of socks! We HAVE to be done having kids b/c we just don't have room for one more Christmas sock....Darn it!

Cash is having so much fun discovering all this fun Christmas stuff lying around!


We finally got to see Santa tonight. The kids were so excited and Cash kept trying to pull on his beard. I'm just a little griped...okay, a LOT griped at the fact that they no longer let you take your own pictures and you pay $20 for the cheapest package which is 1 1/2 sheets of crappy pictures! Seriously...Talon's right eye was nearly cut off and the color is horrible. You can't tell me that the photographer couldn't look through the viewfinder and SEE that he was halfway out of the picture!!! GRRR

Cash has been teething for quite some time now. When hearing the statement, "he's teething" Chet's immediate response is, "I think he's SERIOUS!"....I know, funny guy. Anyway, after 9 1/2 months we finally have a TOOTH! The front, bottom left tooth made it's debut on Saturday. I don't mind that it has taken this long, in fact, I love it! There is nothing I love more than those sweet gummy smiles that babies give.

Although, one or two bottom teeth are quite cute, too. Unfortunately the bad thing about finally getting teeth this late (most the time) is that you don't just get one or two for a while, you get ALL of them! His top gums are so white and swollen and I am waiting for those to come through any time. (so sad) Oh well, as much as I would like to, I guess I can't keep them little and toothless forever!

Let the Season Begin!

It has been hard for me to get into the Christmas spirit...maybe, because it has come so fast that it doesn't seem real? So, I have tried to change that...

The trees are up and I am thoroughly enjoying the smell of fresh Christmas tree wafting through the house.

Winter wear is out of it's dark, hiding place on the top shelf of the hall closet!

Some of us are excited for the snow, some are NOT!

Gingerbread house has been constructed!
Poor Gingy just couldn't stay up, but then I realized he probably wanted to make snow angels in the snow...so that is what he's doing!

Holiday treats are made!

It's finally feeling like Christmas and we are all anxiously awaiting the arrival of
The "Big Guy"!
