And the Lucky number is 19!

"Happy Birthday to you....",

That is the song that I was hearing, sung over and over today.  Along with, "my birthday is today!"

My cute and youngest boy, Cash turned four today! Oh my goodness, he is just the funniest little guy!  He definitely keeps us on our toes with his demanding and sometimes defiant personality, but boy is he also funny. Cash makes us laugh continually with the funny things he says and does.  He is definitely Mr. Personality!

Cash can't take a picture without posing for it or pulling some sort of funny face.  He is busy, busy, busy and WILL NOT sleep longer than necessary if he can help it.  The second any type of music comes on, his little body just can't help but move and dance!  We love this little boy to no end and are so grateful he joined our family.

When I was pregnant with Cash, I was given a due date of  Feb 28th... pretty close to our anniversary on the 19th.  Now, I usually go early and I really, REALLY did not want to have this baby on our anniversary.  I will admit, I was being a bit selfish and didn't want to have to share that day with a birthday.  I wanted to be able to have Chet all to myself and leave and celebrate with Chet ON my anniversary if we chose too.  Well, I guess Heavenly Father had other plans.  In fact, I did not get one thing that I was hoping for with my last baby.  I really wanted a girl, with thick curly hair and deep dimples like her daddy.  Nope, got a bald baby boy, with no dimples born ON our Anniversary!

Well, I'm glad Heavenly Father had other ideas because I love this little guy more than anything!!!  He brings sunshine into my soul every day!  He is such a boy and I LOVE it... not to mention the fact that I don't know if I could deal with the thought of having to raise another teenage daughter. UGH!!!
I also LOVE that he was born on our 15th wedding anniversary.  I really cannot think of a better way to celebrate 15 years of love and marriage than welcoming a new baby created by that love.

Chet and I celebrate our anniversary on the weekends most of the time anyway, So... that is what we will continue to do and honestly, I don't mind it at all!

This year for Cashy's birthday he got a big ride-in Jeep and some accessories for his Leap Pad.  He wanted a cupcake and orange soda for breakfast, so guess what he got.... yup!  I know, bad mom...but hey, it's is birthday!  We went to Chik fil A with his cousin Lincoln and for dinner it was hamburgers.  He also wanted a Spiderman cake, and I will admit...I was a bit lazy and didn't put much effort into it.  However, he's only 4 and thought it was great so that's all that matters!

Our great family came over once again and he got lots more fun things.  I honestly don't know what I would do without my Cashy.  He can be challenging because he is very stubborn, bossy and pushes his limits, but at the same time, he is cute, funny and always brings a smile to my face!  He and I have our own very special kisses that we do every day and night. It goes something like this, .... Eskimo kisses, (rub noses) butterfly kisses (bat lashes together) regular kisses (a kiss on the lips) dog kisses (now, we DO NOT touch when we do this but it is a stick the tongue out and lick motion) and elephant kiss (arm to the nose and kissing with the hands).  Cash continues to add to this series of kisses, but I love it.  It is special to us and it is our own.

See what I mean when I say that Cash is a poser for the camera?...it can be frustrating at times, but it's his little personality and isn't that the point?  To capture their personalities on film?

This is a sorry cake this year.  Didn't have time to really put a lot of effort into it... good thing he is 4 and didn't really care!

Now, for my anniversary.  It has been 19 years on the 19th.  I was 19 years old when I married Chet and now I have lived exactly half my life with him!  CRAZY!  I love that man with my whole heart.  He really is my rock and I do not know what I would do without him. Sometimes we argue and fight and have our moments, but I am so grateful to have him as my husband.  I am proud to be his wife and be at his side.  Chet puts up with a lot from me and has been through some extremely hard times with me, especially with my crazy family drama as well as through tough times with our own children.  I admire him and want to be a better person because of him.  He is an incredible Dad and has had to step up to the plate lately and do some tough things, but he did it... and I respect and love him all the more for it!

Happy Anniversary Chet and Happy Birthday Cashy!  I love celebrating this day with two of my favorite boys!!!

And Then There Were Two!

This month is a whirlwind of birthdays, holidays and special days.  This year in particular is a big one for one young boy who is growing into an incredible young man!

Talon turned 12 this month on the 13th.  How on earth did that happen?  My cute baby boy with thick curly hair is now 12 years old and receiving the priesthood.  Not only was it a special birthday for him because of that, it was special because his cousin, Kyle, also came home from his mission on the same day.

Talon was so excited about that and told me that Kyle coming home was his favorite present!  Talon had a fun day starting with his breakfast of choice, eggs in a basket.  We went to lunch on the weekend at McGrath's, but for dinner on the night of his birthday he chose french dip sandwiches...GOOD CHOICE!  It had been a while since I made them and it was delish!  He got some video games, clothes, (a RUSH T-shirt being his favorite) movies and of course, a white shirt and ties.

Sunday was the big day!  It was such an incredible Sacrament meeting.  Kyle had his homecoming and Kylee was the youth speaker and did great, Cami sang my favorite Hymn, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and made me bawl...it was so beautiful! Then Kyle spoke and did an incredible job.  The Spirit was so strong in that meeting.  Because of the farewell, we decided to ordain Talon right after Sacrament meeting instead of later in the block during Priesthood.  We had great support from family as always and all of his uncles were there, along with Grandpa Jay and Grandma Fullmer and even his cute cousin/best friend, Braeden were there to help ordain him and watch.

Chet ordained him and gave him the most incredible blessing.  I was so emotional and the Spirit was so strong.  When the ordination blessing was complete, there weren't too many dry eyes in the room.  My cute boy, was crying his little eyes out and every family member in the circle had tears in their eyes as well.  Talon is such a great kid.  He is so sensitive and really does want to do good things.  I am so proud of him and of the young man he is growing into!  I feel so blessed and honored to be his mom!

Later when we asked him why he was crying, he said he just couldn't explain it.  He said during the blessing his whole body felt tingly too.  As for myself, I am having (and was having long before) a hard time with the fact that my oldest boy, and middle child, now has the priesthood.  Now, I have two priesthood holders in my home!  I wish I could once again freeze time forever and keep my kids little...(and myself young!)

One thing I know for sure, is I am a very blessed woman.  I hope and pray Talon will always remember this day, how special it was and how he felt.  Especially when he turns 15 and all of those ugly hormones hit! :)

Congratulations Talon!  We are so proud of you!!!
