A Different World of Color...

This really is a strange, random thing to blog about but just for kicks I thought I would explain my new discovery and see if I am alone in this.

My left eye is my dominant eye. It is the eye that I use to look through things such as a viewfinder of a camera, a telescope...anything "one eye open". So, today as I am taking pictures at Chet's game against Alta...which we won 14-12 BTW...I just thought I'd see if it would totally drive me crazy trying to take pictures by looking out of my right eye...kind of like eating left-handed...you can do it, but it's not as comfortable.

Anyway, when I looked through the viewfinder what I saw shocked me! I see things in a different color out of my right eye! I switched back and forth several times to make sure that really was the case and things are definitely a lot "cooler" out of my right eye. My left eye sees things in a warmer, brighter hue and my right is definitely "cooler"...more blue/green hues. It is more noticeable through the camera lens than it is when I just close one eye back and forth looking through nothing. Is that weird? Is it normal? Or am I just very cool?

You are wierd. Just kidding. That is very interesting. Maybe I'll have to do some experimenting with my own eyes!

Wow, I will have to double check my eyes. I have very obvious differences in my vision between right and left and I experiment which eye sees which distance better and I see a difference in crispness, but I haven't noticed color. I often try to make my less comfortable work harder, just for exercise. I really need glasses though.... and I really need to talk to you.
