CAUTION!!!

It was TERRIFYING! That is the only word I can use to describe my experience. Okay...I could maybe add another word too...Traumatizing!!! It was my first time, and unfortunately it won't be my last. But, we all have to begin somewhere right?

Let me start at the beginning...

Two weeks ago Kylee went in to take her written test for her learner's permit. As always the DMV was a nightmare to say the least. She tried twice in a row and failed both times. Soooo, again we had to go back, deal with the ugliness called the DMV, but three times is a charm because she passed! She did it...so here we are!

Chet and I took her out the other day to the High School parking lot to let her get a "feel" of what it is like behind the wheel. Chet was in the passenger side and I was in back and it was quite the "ride". It was when Chet let her drive home on the "real" roads that the adventure began. It was somewhere after she went up over the curb at an alarming speed...all the while thinking she was braking when she was really hitting the gas harder...and making an extremely scary turn into our driveway, that I think I messed my pants and screamed some pretty naughty words. I really can't remember. It was all so traumatizing I must have blocked it out.

In all fairness to her though, she did okay considering she has never had ANY experience with any type of moving vehicle, at all.

But it's still scary! So DRIVERS BEWARE...you've been given fair warning! :)
